Property Management Signs Fort Worth and Arlington
The right signage combination makes managing your property easy and effective. Whether you run an office building with a large number of suites, a strip mall with a variety of storefronts or an apartment building with adjacent parking lot, there are signs that you need for safety and basic wayfinding.
- Channel letter signs. This is the quintessential exterior building sign. If your property has an official name, put it in channel letters on the side of the façade. If you run an office building, it is a good idea to put the address in lit channel letters so that it is easy to find. Individual storefront tenants may place their own – smaller – channel letter signs above their entryways.
- Monument signs. Place this kind of marker at the entryway of your parking lot. This is particularly important if you allow storefront tenants to put up their own channel letters. The monument sign identifies the property and lets you put up a summary of the companies that are renting a space.
- Parking lot markers. Identify patient parking, handicapped spots and fire lanes. Post a speed limit and do not hesitate to hang no-parking signs in areas where emergency vehicles need to have access.
- Directories. Hang directories in the vicinity of the building’s elevators or where the stairs are located. This allows visitors to orient themselves and find the right floor. Rather than just noting the names of firms or doctor’s offices, some building managers have begun naming the primary individuals in these offices and listing them in alphabetical order with a notation of the room number.
- Tenant panels and inserts. Identify each suite and room number with a panel into which you can insert the occupant’s name and room number. When folks change offices or you get in new tenants, it is easy to switch out the information. This prevents the unsightly empty panels.
- Emergency and ADA-compliant markers. Remember that your interior markers must meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). These signs need to identify emergency exit routes, room numbers and designations as well as the locations of basic amenities.
